On Sunday, April 23rd, the Texan French Alliance of Houston will organize the 2017 Macaron Festival and Competiton at the Houston Design Center for the second year.
We are so proud to have not less than 3 Culinary Institute Lenôtre students and alumni participating in this contest! Yamila Orrego, Maria Villanueva and Jennifer Ramos baker and owner of Oui Desserts. Our students Yamila and Maria will team up to bake delicate Raspberry Pink Champagne macarons, and Jennifer our talented alumni will be baking pistachio macaons. Yummy!
Our Chefs will be featured in the competition with other pastry chefs from Artisans Restaurant, Pâtisserie Paris Je T'aime, Flo Paris , Paper Flour Ink , The Happy Macaron, Foody's Gourmet and Mon Chéri Macarons.
This year’s edition is very exciting and we look forward to a fun filled afternoon of delicious French culinary delights, art performances, and “joie de vivre” under the Gazebo and flourishing spring background of the Houston Design Center.
